We were extremely proud and excited when we were asked to showcase our eVolo award winning Shanty-scraper design at
the Technical Museum Vienna ‘Urban Futures’ exhibition 2016-2017. As part of a new series of exhibitions on innovation and
technology, the renowned curator, Mrs. Noggler-Gürtler envisioned a four-story high aerographic pneumatic
architecturally striking installation of the mighty Burj Khalifa in the east wing of the Technical Museum of Vienna. At the
summit elevation floor Shanty -scraper a vertical squatter structure predominately built out of post-construction debris
aspires to provide a unique solution for housing unrecognised slums in developing nations. To understand this misalignment
in the environmental and social concerns within evolving notions of sustainable development and the encourage more
future initiatives to teach eco-friendly urban practices whilst bridging social equality.
The Urban innovations exhibition (Urban Energy, Urban Home, Urban Mobility) share an international perspective on future
of housing in terms of exploring an interface between past and future with Unique exhibits – addressing topical issues and
stimulating interactivity with a wide range of education programmes
